Lorna has over 19 years’ experience working with offenders in both public and private sector prisons. Since 2017, she has worked in private practice completing assessments for the Parole Board and solicitor-directed evaluations. Since 2022, she has also provided risk assessment reports for the High Court in Scotland through her accreditation with the Risk Management Authority.

Lorna specialises in the assessment of general violence, sexual offending, and intimate partner violence. She also has expertise in more complex cases involving stalking, extremism, human trafficking, and fire-setting. Her work frequently involves the assessment of personality disorder, which is a particular area of clinical interest.

Lorna has specialisms in assessing for general, sexual and intimate partner violence as well as more diverse harmful behaviour such as stalking, extremism, human trafficking and fire-raising. She has extensive experience in the assessment of personality disorder which is a particular area of interest of hers, She is an accredited schema therapist and particularly enjoys the application of individual therapy to offenders as an additional means of treating and managing risk.
