Meet Julia Croft

Julia is a BPS Chartered and HCPC-registered Forensic Psychologist, with 17 years of working in the prison service. She specialises in working with men and women who commit sexual and violent offences and has particular expertise with working with those with specific sexual interests which contribute to offending.

Julia is skilled in delivering and managing both moderate and high-intensity accredited programmes and is trained in a broad range of cognitive and risk assessment tools including those which assist with the assessment of stalking.

  • Julia has worked with forensic populations since 2007, including within high-security settings. She is experienced in the assessment and treatment of men and women who have committed sexual and violent offences and has been involved in delivering and managing both moderate and high-intensity offending behaviour programmes.

  • Julia specialises in forensic risk assessment and intervention, with expertise in working with individuals convicted of sexual and violent offences. Her work includes detailed psychological evaluations and treatment planning in secure settings.

  • Julia has extensive experience in the supervision and treatment management of accredited programmes, supporting professional development and treatment integrity within forensic services.

Julia Croft is a Forensic Psychologist, Chartered with the BPS and Registered with the HCPC. She is currently involved in the assessment and treatment of men and women who commit sexual and violent offences, and has worked with forensic populations, including in the high security estate, since March 2007. She has a BA (Honours) in Criminology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, an MSc in Forensic Psychology awarded with distinction, and has completed the accredited stage 2 qualification in Forensic Psychology with the BPS.

Julia has a range of experience in the implementation, delivery, supervision and treatment management of both moderate and high intensity accredited offending behaviour programmes. She is trained in a range of risk assessment tools, including the HCR-v3, the RSVP/RSVP-v2, the SAM, the SRP, the SARA, and structured psychological assessments including the IPDE and PCL-R. She is also trained in assessing protective factors using the SAPROF. She is trained in and proficient in the use of assessments that test cognitive functioning including the WAIS-IV and the WASI-II, and trained in the ADOS-II and ADI-R.
