Louise has over 15 years of experience working across medium and low secure psychiatric hospitals, rehabilitation and community step-down services, specialist learning disability services, and the Prison Service. She has significant experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism in both forensic and non-forensic contexts.
Louise specialises in forensic mental health, neurodiversity, and the assessment and treatment of individuals with complex needs, particularly those with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

Louise has also contributed to rehabilitative and preventative initiatives for individuals who have committed, or may be at risk of committing, sexual offences.

Louise is a BPS Chartered and HCPC Registered forensic psychologist. She has a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology and has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Compassion Focused Therapy, and is currently completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Systemic Therapy.
Louise has a range of experience working in medium and low secure psychiatric hospitals, rehabilitation services, community step-down services, learning disabilities specialist community services, and the Prison Service.
She is employed as a Principal Forensic Psychologist and Neurodiversity Lead working for an NHS high secure psychiatric hospital. She has over 15 years of experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism across both forensic and non-forensic settings. She has also worked for a Charitable Incorporated Organisation that offers rehabilitative and preventative initiatives for those who have committed or who are likely to commit a sexual offence.
She is proficient in the use of structured risk assessment tools, including HCR-20v3 and RSVP, and structured psychological and cognitive assessments, including the WAIS-IV, ABAS, ADI-R, and ADOS.
She offers both academic and clinical supervision for those engaging in the Forensic Psychology Doctorate programme at the University of Nottingham and the University of Birmingham, and offers clinical supervision for those on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate programme at Nottingham Trent University.
She has experience in preparing psychological reports for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983/2007) and in preparing reports for the Parole Board and Court.
