Meet Bal Sanderson

Bal is a BPS Chartered and HCPC-registered Forensic Psychologist, with over 16 years of experience working in a wide variety of forensic settings. She specialises in the risk assessment and treatment of sexual and violent offenders, and has worked across all levels of security within the NHS, public sector prisons, St Andrew’s Healthcare, and community settings. Bal has also contributed to the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway, providing interventions within the prison service and consultation to probation services.

Bal Sanderson is a Forensic Psychologist, Chartered with the BPS and Registered with the HCPC. She has worked in forensic settings for over 16 years, spanning the NHS, public sector prisons, St Andrew’s Healthcare, and community services, across all levels of security. She has delivered interventions and provided consultation as part of the OPD pathway, and is trained in a range of structured risk and personality assessment tools. Bal regularly prepares expert witness reports for the courts and parole board, covering areas including violence risk/reoffending, cognitive functioning, sexual offending, interpersonal violence, and personality disorder.
