Meet Azania Thomas

Azania is a BPS Chartered and HCPC-registered Forensic Psychologist, with over a decade of experience working in secure psychiatric settings and additional experience within the prison service. She specialises in assessing and treating individuals with complex needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Personality Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and other mental health difficulties. Azania combines clinical expertise with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support positive outcomes for clients with challenging presentations.

  • Azania has over ten years’ experience in secure psychiatric settings and two years working in prisons. She has extensive experience in assessing and providing treatment for individuals with complex needs, including offenders and those with comorbid mental health difficulties.

  • Azania specialises in forensic risk assessment, intervention, and therapeutic work with individuals presenting with complex clinical and forensic needs, including Autism, Personality Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and mental illness.

Azania Thomas is a Forensic Psychologist, Chartered with the BPS and Registered with the HCPC. She is proficient in a broad range of risk, psychological, and cognitive assessments, and trained in evidence-based therapies including DBT, Schema Therapy, ACT, and CFT, enabling her to provide holistic, tailored interventions to clients with diverse needs.
